The Iveragh 200.

Fancy a challenge?, want to test your climbing legs?. The roads of South Kerry have been ridden by all the great Irish cycle races, The Nissan Classic, Rás Tailteann, and the Tour of Ireland. On Sat 16th July you will have the opportunity to ride some of the classic Kerry ascents used by these events.

There are two routes to choose from, the full 200KM route which takes in the main climbs of South Kerry, and a scenic trek around Valentia Island. The 130KM version is the same as the 200KM route without the loop of Valentia. Sign on starts at 7am until 08:20 am at the Waterville gaa clubhouse , there will be a massed start rollout at 08:30.

€35 Entry Fee (€50 including evening meal)

Please Note: The 200km route is tough & challenging and should only be undertaken with suitable fitness.

Showering facilities will be available in the Waterville Gaa Club house which is 1km from the village on the shores of Loch Currane.  Broom wagons will leave Waterville at ten am (one hour after sign on closes).  All cyclists are advised to get the emergency brake down and broom wagon numbers at sign in.

Feed stations for the 200km and 130 route will be at the 63km  mark after cyclists exit the Black Valley. The 200km will have a second feed station in Waterville (130km).

Please Note: The 60KM Route is not available in this years event.
